There are reports that the recent strategy of massacres at aid sites are being exercised as killing fields literally compared to squid games (https://21stcenturywire.com/2025/06/27/investigation-how-israels-operation-salted-fish-turned-gaza-into-a-killing-field/). This is just another disturbing mode the genocide in Gaza has taken. The depravity is truly horrifying and Palestinians which include a huge proportion of children are undergoing mass murder and starvation in a direct echo of nazi extermination programs.
Who would have thought that the national vessel for the Jewish people would have inherited and reenacted those Holocaust horrors so relatively soon in history. I pray for the Israeli people because their government is leading them into despicable and unmentionable acts of evil - and I pray for them also because the propaganda and justifications and outright support for genocide ("What genocide?" Some of them ask smugly) that is all too common in Israel is further corrupting their minds and hearts.
It's unimaginable for me in my safe Cascadian home (CASCADIA!!!!) of what is really going on there, and yet I can still imagine. The videos coming out from there, with gunshots being heard and many people, all seeking very basic food supplies, for themselves, their families, their friends, their neighbors- all of them scattering like mad. It's actually a somewhat familiar scene in America, because of the frequent mass shootings that happen here. And yet these massacres in Gaza are even more nihilistic than the mass shootings here in the US. These are organized, systematic, DIRECTED (the Netenyahu administration is openly genocidal) orders - defended by Zionists everywhere, because they believe in some delusive overarching goal (i.e., Zionism, a poison castle on the mountain). These are men, the IDF, and I presume the private security forces of the US-Israel aid organizational GHF. They have it in their souls to gun down in cold blood their brothers and sisters trying to find food in a despairing situation. That people have the audacity and cruelty to do this, let alone that these death squads are not being punished by any liberatory forces because Israel is given carte-blanche by the fascist US empire running rampant - it's fucking unimaginable. But if you've watched Squid or Hunger Games or The Purge then you have seen and somewhat felt the horror that this is.
The capitalist world is so fragmented and yet unified by the technology of media that we can witness an active extermination camp in another part of the globe where bad things are also happening in a less lethal way, but there are certainly connections between them. The technoneaoliberal imperial-techno-neoliberal imperial techno rave neoliberal heartache network spreads and penetrates itself into every corner of the globe, under the flags of different imperial factions, and compromising different societies in different ways, but there is a definite network which is demarcatedly positioned against the rest of humanity which has the potential to establish federated networks based on mutual and cooperative grounds.
The territorialization of Gaza as a new Warsaw Ghetto (https://www.npr.org/2023/12/22/1221128897/masha-gessen-essay-israel-gaza-germany-hannah-arendt-prize) and yet in this new cybernetic 21st century geopolitical context makes it harder for some people to understand this as an essentially Nazi-level experiment in what the genocidal nation state can do in our contemporary world. People are often fooled by contemporary history which is essentially propaganda (albeit the mask is very peeled off in recent years) that says we have gone beyond historical forces like colonialism and genocide - but that's where the modern world exceeds, in concealing the nature of capitalism as a still very much alive brutal dehumanizing dystopia. And so people have an ossified vision of history and the most notorious patterns of humanity, i.e. the Nazis (while we often overlook the horrors of Japanese imperialism out here in the West, or Belgian imperialism in the Congo, for instance), wherein we don't have the conceptual flexibility to understand that what the Israelis and other powers in other parts of the world (the UAE in Sudan for example) are essentially the same things but done in a different context.
That said, there's nothing that new in any of this. But the tools of propaganda are always distorting our perception of history and current events.
Gaza is a giant ghetto (the Egyptians still maintain a $10,000 exit fee for any Palestinians) which is a perfect place to conduct a series of different genocide tactics. It is not considered a concentration camp on the Nazi model simply because it's easier to diffuse culpability when it seems that Gazans aren't "literally" in a prison - even though the conditions and their fate are the exact same as people in Auschwitz.
I don't know what to do though. Fuck this country. The US has been taken over by fascists and so the only thing to do is to abolish it. Whether that was inevitable and the US was inherently corrupt as a political structure is a moot discussion because the time has come to undermine the edifice which is the vessel for the continuation of this inhuman imperialism and fascism. Fuck the US and fuck Israel. Long live Palestine and all the Indigenous peoples baring the brunt of the Empire.
